Headteacher welcome
Welcome to Oldfield School
I am very fortunate to be the headteacher of Oldfield School. It is a warm and friendly school, committed to supporting students to reach their potential. The students are respectful and kind, and benefit from the excellent guidance of our dedicated staff.
The importance of education and our role as a school in developing young people cannot be underestimated. We want to ensure our students are fully prepared for their future careers and have the skills and knowledge to allow them to flourish and succeed.
At Oldfield we take a child-centred approach, preparing students for learning and life. When students feel happy and safe, they progress in their learning, and this is reflected in their excellent academic achievement. Our values of “Be Kind • Be Ambitious • Be Resilient” help us to shape our students to be successful and to make a positive contribution to society.
In addition to academic success, we have a strong focus on extra-curricular activities. Our programme includes sports, music, drama, and a wide range of other activities.
We have very high expectations of our students with regards to their learning, behaviour and aspirations. This is evident in their conduct around the school, attitude to learning, examination results and the pride that they show in wearing their uniform.
If you would like to find out more about our school then you can do so through our website and prospectus.
