AN EXHIBITION AT BATH ROYAL LITERARY AND SCIENTIFIC INSTITUTION

Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institution, a cultural centre in the heart of Bath, has been busy working with key people from local engineering companies to create this free week-long exhibition designed to appeal to curious minds of all ages. It will feature world renowned work in aerospace, automotive, energy, defence, security, digital technology and medicine. Come and explore which local companies contribute to the creation of new ships, aeroplanes, racing cars, Olympic stadia, visual reality and much, much more.

BBC Studios & BBC Bristol – National Apprenticeship Week Careers Event

The BBC runs a range of apprenticeships in production, design and technology, journalism, and business. Applications are currently open to start in September 2023.

BEMA Engineering apprenticeships.
On the 7th of February 2023 from 4:30pm – 7:30pm, we are holding an open evening for students interested in an engineering apprenticeship to come along to the BEMA Training Centre in Yate with their parents.

RUH Bath Career Fair.
Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS FT is holding a careers event on Thursday 9th March 2023 in the Education Centre, building E7. There are 2 time slots, students can either book 5pm-6pm or 6:30pm-7:30pm. This is for students in year 10 and above. Booking is now open and will close on 10th Feb 2023 but may close earlier if places are all filled before this date.
This event is a fantastic opportunity for students to meet various staff members of the Trust and talk about different careers in the NHS.

The Medical Physics and Clinical Engineering Department here in Bath is looking to recruit two candidates onto our three-year trainee Healthcare Science Practitioner programme in September 2023. This is a Level 6 apprenticeship programme with trainees studying for a BSc (Hons) degree in Healthcare Science (Medical Physics Technology) at the University of West of England in Bristol. Apprentices will spend most of their time based at the Royal United Hospital in Bath. Each apprentice will specialise in either nuclear medicine or radiotherapy physics and will be fully supported throughout the course of their apprenticeship with study leave, mentoring and opportunities to attend local and national conferences and training courses.
Applicants must be numerate, computer literate and possess at least two good A-Levels (predicted Grade C or above), one of which should be in a scientific subject. We intend to advertise our posts through NHS Jobs in March 2023 with interviews held shortly thereafter. All offers are conditional on achieving the requisite A-Level grades for enrolment on
the degree program. You must be available to start your apprenticeship in September 2023.

EDT and Industrial Cadets
These courses offer a great insight into the different paths available as students take their next steps exploring the world of STEM. From experiencing university life and meeting role models and industry experts to working on exciting hands-on projects and participating in STEM industry workshops – the knowledge and exposure gained will help them make decisions about their future.

Virtual healthcare careers fair by Future Frontline
Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th January 2023 for Year 11, 12 and 13 students. Students will have the opportunity to hear from 20 different NHS healthcare professionals over the weekend. Women in Engineering Insight Experience
Our apprenticeship insight event introduces BAE Systems, engineering, and our early careers programmes.
Taking place over four days throughout January & February 2023, students will have the opportunity to learn more about us, gain hands on experience, and visit our sites. There will also be opportunities to meet our current engineering apprentices, who will provide insights into their role and share their experience.
Following the experience, students could be offered a full-time position on one of our engineering apprenticeships, starting in Autumn 2023.
