GCSE results 2022

Our 2022 Year 11 cohort have achieved excellent results and, despite the impact of the pandemic over the last two years, they have exceeded our expectation with results that have bucked the national trend and have improved from those in 2020 and 2021. 84% of the GCSE grades were grade 4 or higher, with 70% being grade 5 or above and 28% of all grades were grade 7 or higher.

Mr Mackay, Headteacher said, “I am incredibly proud of their achievements and delighted to see such good results this year, it has been a pleasure and privilege to witness the reaction from our students this morning as they have opened their results envelopes.  They fully deserve their success and these results are testament to their hard work throughout their GCSE courses and the dedication and support of the staff at the school”.

There were many outstanding individual achievements across the cohort and 14 students achieved a clean sweep of grade 7 to 9, particular mention should go to Freya Keyford who achieved eight grade 9s, Conal Little, Bronwen Williams and Becky Weldon who gained seven grade 9s and Aidan Matthews with six grade 9s.
