Transition from Primary School – September 2025

Dear Parents, Carers and Year 6 Students,

We are looking forward to welcoming you into our school community in September.

We have some events coming up which will help make the transition to secondary school as smooth as possible.

In late May and early June, staff from Oldfield will visit the feeder primary schools to meet and find out more about our new students.
In June we will email you an Essential Information Booklet with information about Oldfield School.
In June we will email you the data collection forms that we need you to fill in prior to your child starting at Oldfield School.
We will be holding a New Parents Information Evening. More information will follow, including dates.
On Thursday 3 July 2025 students will spend a day at Oldfield School. This is called Transfer Day and gives students an opportunity to learn more about the school before starting in September. More information will follow by email.
The first day of the Autumn term for new year 7 students will be Thursday 4 September 2025. Only years 7, 10 & 12 will be in school on that day.
