Careers and UCAS applications
In collaboration with the University of the West of England, we offer impartial advice to all students through a series of workshop sessions and one-to-one meetings. In addition, throughout the year, we attend events and invite guest speakers into school to cover a range of aspects, from apprenticeships to writing that all important personal statement. Most importantly, our Sixth Form tutors have a wealth of experience in guiding students through the UCAS process.
The school also employs our own dedicated and impartial careers advisor, Mrs Williams. Sixth Form students can book an appointment with her at any point throughout the year or an appointment can be made on their behalf.
As part of our Enrichment Programme we also encourage all students to complete the Embark employability award. This allows students to keep a reflective record of their experiences and skills. The Embark award can also contribute UCAS points to a student’s application if they apply to study at the University of the West of England.
