BFI Film Academy Production Management residential
Screen Education Edinburgh are excited to be accepting applications for our BFI Film Academy Production Management residential! We will be inviting a group of talented 16 to 19 year olds from across the UK to take part in this amazing BFI opportunity from the 4th to the 10th of April 2026.

Course
Over 7 immersive days, selected learners will gain hands-on experience in core production roles, such as producer, line producer, production manager, and assistant director, while working in teams under the guidance of expert film educators and industry mentors. The course covers essential areas like location management, budgeting, scheduling, and health and safety, and includes exclusive masterclasses and studio visits with professionals from major UK and international productions!
Applying
For anyone aged 16 to 19 living in the UK with a passion for film production. People currently at university (or will be at the time of the course taking place) are not eligible to apply.
Course Fees
The course is fully funded by the BFI and is free to all accepted onto the course. This covers food, course costs and accommodation. We also have travel bursaries available if needed.

Our work experience programme is for Year 12 and 13 students (or first-year college students) who are aged between 16 and 17. You must be living in the local catchment area. This includes Bath, Chippenham, Corsham, Melksham, Trowbridge, Bradford-on-Avon, Westbury, Frome, Radstock, Keynsham, Brislington and surrounding villages.

Army Outreach Team Work Experience Courses are delivered at Okehampton Camp, Devon, and are aimed at Schools and FE establishments for Year 10/11+ students (ages 14–18 only).
These 4-day residential courses are designed for individuals who have shown an interest—however small—in a career in the British Army, offering a taster of Army life.
Course Objectives:
- Information and Insight – An overview of the Army’s organisation, roles, equipment, training, operations, and lifestyle for both Regular and Reserve soldiers and officers.
- Career Opportunities – Insight into the range of careers available and the recruitment and selection processes.
- Personal Development – Building confidence and highlighting the positive aspects of an Army career.
- General Information – Courses are generic and not regimental-specific, providing a broad understanding of Army life.
Important Information:
- Transport to and from the camp is the responsibility of the school or parents.
- Bookings must be made through schools only. We do not accept direct bookings from students
- Maximum of 5 students per course.
- Completed booking forms with full student details are required to confirm a place. We cannot reserve spaces.
