It is a national medical organisation dedicated to nurturing aspiring doctors. They provide expert guidance on the medical school application process via mentoring, CV and wellbeing programmes. They empower students to make informed decisions and become happy, successful future doctors.
They run several conferences per year, guiding students and parents through the journey of medical school application and beyond.
National grid
National Grid and Solutions for the Planet are looking to recruit a new cohort of young people aged 14-19 to join the National Grid Youth Insights Panel 2026-27.
We are seeking young people from a wide range of backgrounds, experiences and viewpoints who want to share their ideas, challenge thinking, and help shape the future.
About the Panel
The Youth Insights Panel gives young people a direct opportunity to engage with National Grid, contribute their views on important topics, and influence real business discussions and decision-making. During the pilot year, young people explored topics including careers, sustainability, technology, community engagement and the future energy system.
Panel members will:
- Take part in online panel discussions throughout the year online and after school
- Share their views directly with National Grid colleagues and leaders
- Help influence future thinking and decision-making
- Meet and learn from other young people from across the UK
- Develop confidence, communication and teamwork skills

Shape My City 2026

Shape My City is a year-long programme that runs from October to July. Modules take place on the first Wednesday of the month, from 5-7pm, at Design West. Shape My City is free to take part. Design West will contribute £5 per module for travel & provide an evening meal for the cohort.
Workshops & Seminars include:
- Work alongside Design Professionals
- Develop teamwork, confidence & communication skills
- Learn about a variety of career options in the design sector & pathways to success
- Connect with other creative young people from across the city & begin to create life-long networks
- Go on site visits to inspiring buildings

Career Days
Online work experience for students aged 13-18. Run work experience in vet, dentistry, law, engineering, psychology, business, computer science, architect, performing arts, medicine, midwifery. Cost: £79 for the full day. Run it twice a year.
EDT – Industrial cadets
The Individual Challenger Activities are an exciting way for students to complete a short STEM project from home and gain an Industrial Cadets Challenger award. Each activity is designed by our educational experts and allows students to use their creativity and imagination to complete a project in their own way and at their own pace. Students are guided through the activity on our learning platform and will have access to support for any questions or queries along the way. All students will get individual feedback on their project.
