Top of the BANES athletics competition

We are so proud of our students who attended the BANES athletics District Athletics competition on Thursday 10^th May at Bath University.  It was a great afternoon and an opportunity for some of our Year 7 students to experience running on a proper track for the first time.

All the schools in BANES took part (including private schools) and for our students to come out top was a great achievement.

We have some exceptional athletes at Oldfield who commit to training both in and outside of school.  It is one of the sports we excel at due to the athletics programme we offer at Oldfield starting with the sports hall athletics in the Winter months.

The training at school leading up to the event helped us win the junior boys and junior girls categories, the team also won the boys and girls relay events in the junior category (Year 8/9), which was not included in the final results.
