A Level Results 2018

Once again, at Oldfield School, we are delighted with our students’ success at A level this year.

1 in 5 grades this year were A* or A grades, 57% of our students’ grades were B grades or above and 90% of students achieved A* to C. Our average grade across the year was a B-.  Excellent progress was a key strength of our school once again with results placing us in the top 25% of Sixth Forms and colleges nationally.  This progress is also reflected in the ever-expanding Sixth Form here at Oldfield, which is going from strength to strength.

Our Year 13 students have been an absolute credit to the school and have contributed so much to school events and extra-curricular activities. They all deserve congratulations for their hard work and dedication they have shown to their studies over the course of the last two years.  Well done to Laura, going on to study Ancient History at Warwick University, Lucy, who will be doing German and Russian at University of Exeter, Holly doing Biological Science at University of Bath, and all our students continuing on in their studies and future plans.  We wish them every success.

Director of Post-16 Learning, Mr Nash, said: “Many congratulations to all our Year 13 students- I wish them every success with their future plans. The school is enormously proud of their achievements.”
