BANES Netball Tournament

Congratulations to the Year 10 netball squad who participated in the BANES netball tournament at Writhlington.

An absolutely fantastic performance by all squad members who played out of their skins to produce one of the best performances of the season! After winning all three pool games and only conceding 9 goals across all three games, we progressed to the semi final as winners of our pool. There we met a very strong Hayesfield team and it was a great game, tight from the word go and goal for goal. As the whistle went for full time we were ahead by one goal which put us in the final.

In the final, we met Wellsway and the scene was set for a high energy, highly contested game and it did not disappoint! We managed to get an early advantage and were 2 goals up at half time but unfortunately we just couldn’t hold onto the lead after a couple of errors and we lost in the final few minutes.

We finished a very impressive second overall and I could not be more proud of the girls in their efforts, determination and how they represented our school on the night.
